It's only because I love to watch documentaries that I have this particular image to share today. I watch Masterpiece on PBS, so I was already familiar with the story of Harry Gordon Selfridge. I'm not going to retell his story because the Netflix documentary and the Masterpiece mini series do a great job of that! Suffice it to say that Mr. Selfridge was way, way ahead of his time!

Even so, I want to know more and in particular, I want to know who came up with the idea of using carousel horses in the ladies salon! And where can I find that today?! It's just possible that I'd get my hair trimmed as often as Mike, if I could sit on a horse and get it done! Maybe!
