I've found that the easiest way for me to write my blog is to go with my gut. By that I mean, if I find something interesting, maybe someone else will too! In this case, I became very interested in Eric Edward Otte when I started seeing images like these pop up on Facebook. I was interested not only because I find them simply AMAZING, but because I thought I knew Eric Otte. "The" Eric that was Diane Underwood's assistant trainer in Colorado. The Eric Otte shown below.

So who is this other Eric Otte? The wonderfully talented artist from Santa Fe?

The same guy!
And it makes total sense! Only an artist that really KNOWS horses can create images like these. Images that show so much more than the outside of a horse.
Eric's art shows the spirit of the horse! The energy and the power. And I think they show how horses make us feel on the inside! In a future post I'll delve more into the question of how Eric went from Nebraska, to New York City, to Colorado to Santa Fe. But for now, I think it's enough to show you his work.

If you want to see more, I suggest you send him a friend request via Facebook! Personally, I hope I get to visit him in Santa Fe!
